If $0.\overline{9} = 1$, then does $0.\overline{8} = 0.\overline{9}$?

Wait no thats dumb. But hear me out:

If $0.999... = 1$, then what about $0.0999...$? Is that $0.1$?

And what about $0.999...8$? Like infinite 9s then an 8 at the "end"? I know there is no end but someone on Reddit was saying this is how surreal numbers work and now im confused.

Also: does $1.\overline{0}1$ exist? Like 1 point infinite zeros then a 1? My brain hurts.
